    Virginia M. Schmitt, age 87, St. Cloud, MN died Friday, March 19, 2004 at St. Benedict’s Care Center, St. Cloud, MN, where she had lived for the past 5 1/2 years.
     Funeral services will be Thursday, March 25, 2004 at 11:30 AM at Granite City Baptist Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will in be North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     Virginia Schmitt was born March 15, 1917 in Waukon, MN to William and Alma (Brouillard) Pearson. She grew up in Sartell, MN. She married Tacker Schmitt on October 1, 1938. They lived in Waite Park, MN. She was a charter member of Granite City Baptist Church, St. Cloud, MN.
     Survivors include her children: Karen (Larry) Gentile of Clovis, CA; William (Jane) Schmitt of Plymouth, MN; grandsons: Scott (Kay) Henrickson of Long Beach, CA; Bill (Jeramie) Henrickson of Fresno, CA; Justin Schmitt of Plymouth, MN; Ryan Schmitt of Plymouth, MN; sisters: Lucille (Jack) Carlton of Torrance, CA; Beverly (LeRoy) Pierskalla of Sartell, MN; brother: Gary (Billie) Pearson of Mound, MN; step sister: Peggy (Firl) McKenzie of Sartell, MN; brother in law: Donald Schmitt of St. Cloud, MN: sister in laws: Rose Pearson of Sartell, MN and Evelyn Proulx of Moundsview, MN; many nieces and nephews and friends.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Tacker and one brother, Ren Pearson.
     Memorials are preferred to Granite City Baptist Church, 1425 County Road 134, St. Cloud, MN.
