Myrtle A. Erickson, age 87, Sartell, MN died Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Country Manor Health Care Center, Sartell, MN.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Myrtle Erickson was born March 30, 1919 in Ida Township, Douglas County, MN to Julius and Hermina (Froemming) Krohnfeldt. She grew up in Leaf Valley and attended Ebenezer Lutheran Church. Myrtle then moved to the St. Cloud area where she was employed by Murphy Nursing Home, Woolworth Department Store for 10 years, and for one year at St. Cloud State University. On May 17, 1969, Myrtle married Walfred Erickson in St. Cloud, MN. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
Survivors include two brothers, Rupert (Myna) Krohnfeldt of Alexandria, MN; and Clifford Krohnfeldt of Alexandria, MN; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walfred on October 2, 1973, four brothers, Elmer Krohnfeldt, Harold Krohnfeldt, Reuben Krohnfeldt and Eugene Krohnfeldt, and four sisters, Rose Dittberner, Leona Diment, Renetta Arntson, and Rufine Krohnfeldt.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Rupert Krohnfeldt, Clifford Krohnfeldt, Dick Prigge, Ken Dickenson, David Anderson and Dan Larson.
