     Jesus said in John 14:2, “In my Father’s house are many mansions. I go to prepare a place for you and if I go, I will come again and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, you will be also.” On January 30, 2007, Glenn moved into his mansion after a courageous 13 year battle with cancer.
     Glenn was born October 30, 1926, in Minneapolis, MN, to Lloyd and Leola (Painter) Dahl. He was a graduate of Lyle High School and Luther College, Decorah, IA. Glenn served in the United State Army Air Corps from 1944 to 1945. On August 4, 1953, Glenn married Janet M. Prehoda in Austin, MN. He ran the family-owned business, Dahl's Hardware, until 1967 when he became a financial advisor for IDS Financial Services (Ameriprise Financial). In 1988, Glenn was inducted into the IDS Hall of Fame. Glenn was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church of Austin, where he served as a deacon and was active in choir, men’s quartet and the music committee. He was also a member of the Lyle American Legion, a charter member of the Lyle Lion’s Club, and a member of Calvary Community Church of St. Cloud.
     Survivors include his wife, Janet Dahl of St. Cloud, MN; daughters, Linda (Ronald) Dahl of Minnetonka, MN; Sandra (Karl) Anderson of St. Cloud, MN; Debra (Paul) Machacek of Belle Plaine, MN; son, David (Marni) Dahl of Cold Spring, MN; brother, Gerald (Judy) Dahl of Golden Valley, MN; sisters, Lois (Ralph) Williams of Apple Valley, MN; Sharon (Thomas) Bridges of Austin, MN; ten grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Gloria Sandgren.
     A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2007, at 1:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church, Austin, MN. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 7, 2007, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary, Austin, MN. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Austin, MN.
     Pallbearers will be Matthew Nelson, Aaron Nelson, Ryan Hodge, Braden Anderson, William Bell, and William Holder. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Learned, David Kallman, Stanley Lewison, Sid Fister, and Christy Hansen.
     His family is comforted in knowing that they will see him again in Heaven.
