     Irene A. Nordling, age 92, St. Louis Park, MN, formerly of St. Cloud, MN, died Monday, January 1, 2007 at Texas Terrace Care Center, St. Louis Park, MN.
     Funeral services will be Friday, January 5, 20067at 11:00 AM at Salem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Rev. Irven Nelson will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, January 4, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Irene Nordling was born February 7, 1914 in Kittson County, MN to Martin and Helen (Connors) Anderson. She married Roy H. Nordling on July 22, 1933 in Thief River Falls, MN. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church,. Irene was also a member of PTA and PTA Board of Directors, serving as State Parliamentarian, League of Women Voters and League of Women Voters State Board of Directors; and the DFL. She served on the St. Cloud Board of Zoning Appeals and was a candidate for St. Cloud City Council.
     Survivors include a son, Mark (Joan) Nordling of Eden Prairie, MN;brother and sisters, Dennis (Dolores) Anderson of Farmington Hills, MI; Larry (Virginia) Anderson of Towner, ND; Mary (John) Patterson, Oskaloosa, IA; and three grandchildren, Roy Bray III, Christy Passantino, and Maren Nordling.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy, on March 13, 2000; daughter, Marsha Bray on December 12, 1991, one brother, John Anderson and one sister, Grace Landberg.
     Memorials are preferred to Salem Lutheran Church or donor’s choice.
