Ralph W. Anderson, age 83, St. Cloud, MN died Tuesday November 21, 2006 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Inurnment will be in the columbarium at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Ralph W. Anderson was born March 25, 1923 in Newfolden, MN to Harry and Jenny (Lokken) Anderson. He married Lois Bundy on September 25, 1946 in Newfolden, MN. Ralph worked for 30 years as a vocational rehabilitation counselor for the United States Veterans Administration. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Ralph was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Special Olympics. He was a member of Sons of Norway, and Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud. Ralph enjoyed golf and traveling.
Survivors include wife, Lois Anderson of St. Cloud, MN; children, Michael (Aileen) Anderson of Maple Grove, MN, Peggy (Gregg) Weisskirk of Nobleville, IN, John (Julie) Anderson of St. Cloud, MN; brother, James (Olive) Anderson of Winona, MN; sisters, Muriel Nelson of Carlstad, MN, and Adeline “Andy” (Frank) Thorton of Green Valley, AZ; six grandchildren, Stefanie (Matt Igtanloc), Ian, Maggie, Lauren, Josh, and Jessica; and one great grandson, Isaac.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Roy Anderson, and brother and sister-in-law, Burt and Mary Lou Anderson.
Memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
