Janet R. Hesse, age 73, Waite Park, MN died Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN, due to complications with cancer.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral arrangements made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Janet Hesse was born March 5, 1933 to John and Freida (Halbersma) Van Lant in Chandler, MN. She graduated from Edgerton High School, Edgerton, MN in 1951. Janet married Raymond T. Hesse on May 5, 1954 at Bethel Reformed Church in Leota, MN. She worked for Fandel’s from 1966 to 1985. Janet volunteered at many organizations around St. Cloud. She was a very active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Survivors include brothers and sisters, Eva Prins of Escalon, CA; Henrietta Ruiter of Chandler, MN; Alberta Gilman of Edgerton, MN; John Van Lant of Lakewood, CA; Nellie Franson of Edgerton, MN; Lawrence Van Lant of Port Orchard, WA; Cornie Van Lant of Chandler, MN; Frances Anker of Leota, MN; Elsie Ver Hey of Edgerton, MN; Rose Bleyenberg of Edgerton, MN. Surrogate Families, Jody and Lynn Hoff and their children Logan and Julia of St. Cloud, MN and Ana Villagomez and her son Castulo of Laredo, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond T. Hesse on December 25, 1988, and two sisters, Lillian Gilman and Edna Vandyke.
Memorials are preferred to Prince of Peace Lutheran School, St. Cloud, MN or Holy Cross Lutheran Church. |
