Bernard J. Christle, age 60, St. Joseph, MN died Monday, September 25, 2006 at his home after a long battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
Funeral services will be Friday, September 29, 2006 at 10:30 AM at Resurrection Lutheran Church, St. Joseph, MN. Rev. Linda Lagergren and Rev. Joe Kresky will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, September 28, 2006 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Sartell, MN.
Bernard Christle was born September 7, 1946 to Harold and Constance (DeYaeger) Christle, Sr. in St. Cloud, MN. He married Patricia A. Riitters on September 6, 1969 in St. Cloud, MN. Bernard worked for X-Cel Optical for 34 years retiring in August of 2004. He was a former member of the Eagles Club, St. Cloud, MN, National Rifle Association, St. Joe Rod and Gun Club and a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, St. Joseph, MN.
Bernard loved to fish, hunt, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include wife, Patricia Christle of St. Joseph, MN; son, Terry (Stacy) Christle of Sartell, MN; two grandchildren, Samira and Ryan; brothers and sisters, Harold Christle, Jr. of St. Cloud, MN; Brian Christle of Rice, MN; Lori Christle of St. Cloud, MN; Doreen Christle of St. Cloud, MN; Marlo Christle of St. Cloud, MN and his faithful companions, Charmin and Grizz.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, daughter, Amy Christle on July 29, 1995.
Pallbearers will be Dick Tembreull, Bob Riedeman, Brian Christle, Jim Riedeman, John Lukaswicz, Nels Peterson.
