Mary Catherine Hannon, age 83, St. Cloud, MN died Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at her home.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 1125 11th Ave. N., St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Mary Hannon was born June 21, 1923 in Minneapolis, MN to John Thomas and Gertrude (Fournier) Graham. She married Thomas Edward Hannon on July 30, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN. Mary was active in the Rocking Horse Knitting Club that was involved in the Toasty Toes campaign for servicemen overseas. She was a member of Eagles Aerie #622 Auxiliary, the Whitney Red Rockers and Oh For Cute Red Hat Clubs and was in a Red Hat club calendar. Mary also volunteered at the Treasure Chest through RSVP. Her husband Thomas was a retired Minneapolis police officer.
Forever the generous volunteer and contributor to Children’s Hospital and Crisis Nursery.
Survivors include sons and daughters, Thomas (Deb) Hannon of St. Cloud, MN; Michael (Chris) Hannon of Minneapolis, MN; Sharon Hannon of Bruno, MN; Susan (Duane) Wegman of St. Cloud, MN; Kevin Hannon of St. Cloud, MN; Bridgett (Patrick) Phimister of St. Louis Park, MN; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Shari Hannon; grandson, Patrick Hannon; granddaughters, Amanda Phimister and Lark Hannon; two brothers, Roger Soltau and Wayne Soltau; son-in-law, Jeff Kingen.
