Helene A. Aanerud age 92, died Thursday, August 31, 2006 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 1:00 PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Rev. Bruce Timm will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church on Thursday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Arrangements are with Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Helene Aanerud was born September 7, 1913 in Stevens County, near Morris, MN to Ludwig and Sarah (Olofson) Larsen. She graduated from Morris High School in 1932. Helene was united in marriage to Oliver Aanerud on August 15, 1934 at Reque Lutheran Church, Alberta, MN. The couple made their home in Morris and later lived in Willmar and St. Cloud.
Helene enjoyed crossword puzzles and Crocheting.
Survivors include her sisters, Dagney “Dottie” (Donald) Kostka of Fargo, ND; Elizabeth “Betty” (Robert) Schow of Willmar, MN and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oliver on September 4, 1969; son, Denis on December 9, 1995; daughter, Beverly on September 21, 1975; and 4 brothers, Floyd Larsen, Rupert Larsen, Carl Larsen and Clayton Larsen.
Pallbearers will be Helene’s nephews, Allan Aanerud, Gordon Aanerud, Ronald Aanerud, Reggie Schow, Byron Kostka, and Mike Larsen. |
