     Ruth E. Robison, age 83, formerly of Cold Spring and St. Cloud, MN died Saturday, August 19, 2006 at her home in Harlingen, TX.
     Funeral service will be Thursday, August 24, 2006 at 3:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Rev. Hal Spann will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Ruth Robison was born January 30, 1923 in Glidden, Iowa to George E. and Louise E. (Juergens) Knute. She married Orvle J. Robison on July 15, 1944 in Chicago. Ruth retired from the Business Office at St. Cloud State University. She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, St. Cloud, MN.
     Survivors include her husband, Orvle Robison of Harlingen, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Kristine C. and Paul N. Woldy of Houston, TX; two granddaughters, Kate (Jim) Parker of St. Louis and Diana (Patrick) Schilling of Chicago; daughter-in-law, Deborah Robison of St. Petersburg, FL.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters and one brother; and by her son, John M. Robison on December 15, 1979.
     Ruth was most of all a loving and devoted grandmother, mother, and wife. She was a leader – from organizing a new den of Cub Scouts to acting as a den mother, a Girl Scout leader, a Sunday school teacher, and a Sunday school superintendent. She loved her family and all those around her that she treated as family. Ruth showed everyone around her how to love, because she loved everyone.
