Elizabeth (Betty) Andal, age 96, St. Cloud, MN died Sunday, August 20, 2006 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community Nursing Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 24, 2006 at 12:00 (Noon) at St. Benedict’s Senior Community Chapel, 1810 Minnesota Blvd. SE, St. Cloud, MN. Rev. Meinrad Dindorf will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Brainerd, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Betty Andal was born March 31, 1910 in Brainerd, MN to Jacob H. and Mary Anna (Puetz) Muller. She married Verne L. Andal on July 23, 1930 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Brainerd, MN. Betty was a pioneer of working women. She worked for JC Penney Co. in Montevideo and St. Cloud and Herberger’s Interior Design. She retired in 1965. She was a member of the American Red Cross, Degree of Honor, Ladies Circle of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Women's Club at St. Augustines.
Survivors include son and daughters, James Andal of Waite Park, MN; Lois (Steve) Justin of Shoreview, MN; Jeanne Andal of Shoreview, MN; five grandchildren, LaurieAn (Brian) Peterman, Diane Justin, Susan (Randy) Barstow, Sandra Justin, Jim (Debbie) Justin; nine great grandchildren, David (Kelly Richert) Justin, Chris Immel, Brittany Erickson, Jennifer Erickson, Steve Peterman, Jim Peterman, John Justin, Andrew Justin and Nick Justin, one great great granddaughter, Megan Justin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Verne of 56 years on March 10, 1986, one sister and eleven brothers.
Pallbearers will be her great grandchildren.
