     Bernard “Ben” Derr, age 93, St. Cloud, MN, died Monday, July 31, 2006 at University Good Samaritan Center, Minneapolis, MN.
     Funeral services will be Thursday, August 3, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Fr. Luke Steiner will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Bernard Derr was born April 7, 1913 in St. Cloud, MN to William and Elizabeth (Gohman) Derr. He married Evelyn Muyres on October 1, 1935 in St. Augustine Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. They lived in St. Cloud until 1968 when they moved to Lake Alexander by Cushing, MN. Ben worked for Great Northern/Burlington Northern Railroad for 32 years, retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Ben enjoyed fishing and spending time at Lake Alexander.
     Survivors include sons and daughter, Robert (Cathy) Derr of West St. Paul, MN; Kenneth (Kaye) Derr of Sauk Rapids, MN; Gerald “Gary” (Maryann) Derr of St. Cloud, MN; Judith (Wayne) Kosloske of Brookfield, WI; brother and sisters, George Derr of Houston, TX; Monica Fragola of Akron, OH; Ramona Egli of Stevens Point, WI; Nora Mosley of Muskego, WI; 9 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn, on June 28, 2002; brothers and sisters, Ed, Myrtle, Jerome, Adella and Helen; and great grandson, Kyle Laska.
