Eleanor J. McGowan, age 65, South Haven, MN died Friday, July 28, 2006 at her home.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at 10:30 AM at First United Methodist Church, St. Cloud, MN. Rev. James Towler will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, July 31, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Acacia Cemetery, Clearwater, MN.
Eleanor McGowan was born August 1, 1940 in Clearwater, MN to Floyd and Irene (Ackerson) Panno. She married James McGowan on August 14, 1958 at First United Methodist Church, St. Cloud, MN. Eleanor worked at Wilson Ave Dairy Bar, Fingerhut, and then worked with her husband for 32 years at Jim’s Auto Service, St. Cloud. Eleanor enjoyed gardening, crocheting and crafts, but her greatest joy was her family.
Survivors include her husband, James McGowan of South Haven, MN; sons, Thomas (Linda) McGowan of Clearwater, MN; Scott (Mary) McGowan of Clearwater, MN; eight grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marianne Panno of St. Cloud, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William Panno; one nephew, Ronald W. Panno and special aunt, Vera Panno.
Pallbearers will be Bryce McGowan, Kenny McGowan, Drew Sevcik, Derek Sevcik, Mike Stotko, and Eric Stotko.
