Eileen Marie Bloomquist, age 87, St. Cloud, MN, died Friday, June 30, 2006 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 3, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Rev. Gary Berg will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday, July 2, 2006 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery, St. Joseph Township, Stearns County, MN.
Eileen Bloomquist was born June 23, 1919 in St. Cloud, MN to Milton and Emma (Fuhre) Merrill. She married Robert E. Bloomquist on September 25, 1948 in Rockford, IL. She was employed as a telephone operator for the telephone company in Rockford, IL and also as a hostess at the Wagon Wheel in Waite Park, MN. Eileen was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Tuesday Quilting Group. She was a member of the St. Cloud Eastside VFW Post #4847 Auxiliary.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela J. (Denny) Durand of St. Cloud, MN; son, Roger A. (Kathy) Bloomquist of New Brighton, MN; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert, on April 21, 1998; four brothers, Frank, James, and Murvale Merrill, and Thorbjorn Sog Larsen; two sisters, Olive Cotter and Cora Lorenz.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Chad Kremers, Becky Kremers, Bryan Bloomquist, Jeffrey Kremers, Steven Bloomquist and Kristen Bloomquist.
Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association. |
