Mary Anne Savage, age 84 of St. Cloud, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Country Manor Campus, Sartell, Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Country Manor Campus Chapel in Sartell. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Friends will gather at Drake’s on the Country Manor Campus for lunch following the funeral.  Urn placement will be in the Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud, Tuesday afternoon.
Mary Anne was born on November 27, 1940, in Minneapolis, MN to John and Mary (Sharkey) Savage. Mary Anne attended the Academy of Holy Angels, St. Catherine’s University, and University of Wisconsin, Madison. She also studied abroad as a Fullbright Scholar in Nancy, France; Universite Laval, Quebec, Canada; and Universite Angers, Angers, France. Mary Anne began her teaching career at St. Cloud State University in 1966 and retired as a n Associate Professor of French in 2003. Mary Anne was a member of the American Association of Teachers of French, American Association of University Women, St. Cloud Heritage Quilters and and AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP. She enjoyed quilting, needlework, reading, and travel.
Mary Anne is survived by many loving friends who would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Country Manor for the wonderful care they provided her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard J. Savage; and sister, Lorraine M. Connelly.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Catherine’s University, the American Cancer Society, or Christ Church Newman Center.
