Gayle was born to Howard and Tyyne on August 20, 1952, on Howards 28th birthday and was the 4th child in a family of 6 children. She graduated from Irondale high school in 1970 and went on to nursing school becoming an LPN. Nursing, however, wouldn’t be her calling. She opted to work in the food service industry. Gayle met her husband John and had a whirlwind courtship and married on November 19, 1976. She lived for many years in the city of Minneapolis on the north side raising her three children. Gayle and family lived in Minneapolis until 1996 when they decided they wanted a quieter life in the country. They moved to Becker, MN and lived there for a number of years. In 2000 Gayle went into business for herself and opened a cafe in Monticello. During this time, she was blessed with her oldest granddaughter Gabrielle on July10, 2001 and her youngest granddaughter Adrianna on January 8, 2004. Her two granddaughters brought her so much pride. Gayle and her husband John both battled cancer in the latter years of their lives which they both succumbed to as they took care of each other as they got older until Johns passing in 2020.
