    C. LeRoy Varner, age 84, St. Cloud, MN died Sunday, February 22, 2004 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
     Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at 11:30 AM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN at a later date. Visitation will be from Tuesday, February 24, 2004 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
     C. LeRoy Varner was born May 23, 1919 in St. Cloud, MN to Christian H. and Lorene M. (Hasbrouck) Varner. He married Laura Lyons on April 10, 1945. She died March 13, 1969. He married Pearle Miller Sherman on June 6, 1970. She died on August 20, 1991. LeRoy was employed by and then owned C. H. Varner Insurance Agency in St. Cloud, MN from 1945 to 1982. He was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1945. LeRoy was a member of St. Cloud American Legion Post #76; St. Cloud Eastside VFW Post #4847 and the Benton County Agricultural Society.
     Survivors include sons and daughters, Christian (Margaret) Varner of Silverdale, WA; Jim (Linda) Varner of Becker, MN; Laura Theisen of Cold Spring, MN; Chris (Pete) Reser of Albuquerque, NM; brother and sisters, Tom (Mildred) Varner of Sauk Rapids, MN; Ann Langer of White Hall, IL; Judy Nelson of Goodyear, AZ; Nancy Weber of Marysville, CA; Mary Stafford of Minnetonka, MN; seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
     LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Laura and Pearle; three daughters, Val, Pat and Pam, one brother, Pat Varner and one granddaughter, Rebecca Reser.
