Todd Alan Diesen, age 61, of Columbus, Ohio died unexpectedly on November 4, 2024 at his home in Columbus, Ohio.

 Memorial services for Todd Diesen will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Bethesda Lutheran Cemetery in Skime, MN with the date to be determined.

Todd was born September 17, 1963 in Helena, MT and lived there until moving to Edina, MN, and then on to Warren, MN where he attended Middle and High School. Todd played piano and viola throughout his youth as well as participating in school plays.

 After graduating from Warren High School in Warren, MN, Todd attended Valley City State University in Valley City, ND for two years. After leaving Valley City, Todd moved on to Montana State University in Bozeman, MT where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.  For a short time after MSU, Todd attended classes at University of Montana in Missoula, MT before moving to Mankato, MN for a job working for the State of Minnesota.  After Mankato, Todd moved to Columbus, Ohio where he pursued a career in technology support while also working on various political campaigns.  

 Todd was thoughtful, caring, compassionate, a deep thinker and voracious reader with a wide variety of interests that he enjoyed sharing information about with everyone. Todd loved his cats, the outdoors and nature (especially the mountains), was a devout Jimmy Buffett fan (Parrothead) and loved gathering with other Parrotheads and attending Jimmy Buffett concerts. He loved his family deeply, treasured time with his family, especially enjoyed his mother’s cooking, and was proud of his family’s accomplishments.

 Todd is survived by his parents, Roger and Judy Diesen of Sartell, MN; Heather (Richard) Jackson of Seattle, WA; nieces, and other valued relatives.
