Jennings McCaskey Hooks, age 80, died Monday, April 24, 2006 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community, St. Cloud, MN.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 1:00 PM St. Benedict’s Senior Community Chapel, St. Cloud, MN Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel at St. Benedict’s Senior Community. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Jennings Hooks was born October 26, 1925 in Lakeland, FL to Ruby Lee (McCaskey) and Hugh Kaigler Hooks. He married Mary Margaert Maier on June 15, 1952 in Denver, CO. Jennings served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a graduate of Florida Southern University and worked as a Red Cross Field Representative. Jennings was a member of Peace United Church of Christ and a life member of the American Legion
Survivors include his wife, Mary Hooks of St. Cloud, MN; daughter, Irene (Steve) Sincleair of St. Cloud, MN; sister, Frances Boberg of Venice, FL; three grandchildren, Katie Mawby, Kevin Sincleair and Ken Sincleair; four great grandchildren, Melissa and Danny Hlinsky and Maegen and Ryan Sincleair.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Hugh; and one sister, Helen.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great grandchildren. |
