Ronald D. Searcy, 59, of Clearwater, MN, passed away, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the St. Cloud Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Clearwater Legion Post #323 from 12:00-3:00 PM. Burial will be held at Acacia Cemetery in Clearwater, by family, at 10:00 AM.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Ron was born on November 11, 1964 to Arnold and Renate Searcy in Minot, North Dakota. He grew up in St. Cloud and moved to Clearwater, where he graduated in 1983 from Annandale Highchool. He went on to become an HVAC technician; the last 10 years he had spent working for Lake Country Mechanical. He was a jokester, social, and strong-willed. He enjoyed hockey, especially the MN Wild; 80s Hair Bands, specifically, Van Halen; Nascar; and his ’69 Nova. 

He is survived by his parents; son, Ben Searcy; daughter, Lindsey (Brian) Franz; granddaughters, Maisy and Audrey Franz; brothers, Scott (Kathy Radunz) Searcy, Tom (Nita) Searcy; sister, Carla (Craig) Severson; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. He is reunited with his brother, Byron, who passed away in 2021.
