Rodney Lee Arvidson, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 4, 2024.

 

Rodney was born on August 20th, 1939 in Aitkin Minnesota. He was welcomed into this world by his mother Edna and his father Knute. He grew up in Aitkin with his eight siblings. 

 

He continued through life dedicated to work. Rodney worked as a grave digger when he was younger and then worked at Burlington Northern for a short time. Later, he found his calling at Spancrete as a forklift operator. Where he helped build the MetroDome and the Mall of America. He retired at Spancrete in the year of 2004.

 

Rodney welcomed six children into his life. The first marriage, Rodney and Milli had three children. Then Rodney married Bernadette and they also had three children. In Rodney's third marriage he found Rosemary. Rodney and Rosemary were married till their last living breath and now reunite in heaven. Rosemary had three kids who considered Rodney as their own father.

 

Rodney was a very hardworking, quick witted, most thankful, and loving man. He loved a cold beer, pull tabs, the casino, and his home away from home in Aitkin.

 

Rodney is survived by his children Linda, Bruce, Brian, Theresa, Jeffrey, Robert. Rosemary’s children Vicky, Tina, and Shawn. Grandchildren Arrieal, Aliza, Autumn, Abygail, Brooke, Ashlea, and Colton. Brother Arvid and sisters Patricia and Donna. 

Along with extended family.

 

Rodney was preceded in death by wife Rosemary. Mother Edna and father Knute. Brothers Bob, Duane, Ricky, and Everett. Sister Delores.

 

Please join us at the celebration of  life for Rodney Lee Arvidson on March 24th, 2024from 12:00-4:00 PM at the Clearwater Legion. One of Rodney’s favorite meals will be served, a chicken dinner.
