Edith M. Way, age 96, St. Cloud, MN died Monday, March 13, 2006 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Aitkin, MN.
Edith Way was born March 15, 1909 in Park River, ND to James and Nellie (Spengler) Swehla. She married Arthur J. Way on July 1, 1931 in Brainerd, MN. Edith taught in one room rural schools and then for the larger school districts in St. Cloud area. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, St. Cloud, MN and was a volunteer at Whitney Senior Center. Edith touched the lives of many and will be fondly remembered by all those who knew her.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Patricia Way of St. Cloud, MN; three grandchildren; Tara (Dean) Voumard, Dana Way and Christopher Way; and one great granddaughter, Josephine Voumard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur Way, on October 17, 1994; sons, Gary Way on September 6, 1987 and George Way on November 28, 1991.
