Stommes, age 46, Zimmerman, MN, died Thursday, September 21, 2023, on hospice care, at the home of his brother in St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Friday, September 29, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN, with a prayer service at 6:00 PM followed by a meal and gathering at the Eagles. Shawn was born January 5, 1977 in St. Cloud, MN to John and Louise (Steil) Stommes. Shawn lived an adventurous life despite his heart issues. He was a semi-pro snowmobile racer, loved 4-wheeling and dirt biking. Shawn went on to own his own business, Bionix Sports, repairing all of those types of motor sports vehicles. Survivors include his mother, Louise Stommes of Crosslake, MN; father, John Stommes of St. Cloud, MN; brother, Randy Stommes of St. Cloud, MN; and nieces and nephew, Chels Huston, Eric Stommes and Zyanne Stommes. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shelly and brother, Scott. |
