Rita Mary LeBlanc, age 92, Sartell, MN, died Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Country Manor Senior Community, Sartell, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Rita’s life will be Monday, April 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Rita was born May 19, 1930 in St. Cloud, MN to William and Rosalie (Kuffel) Palmersheim. She married Donald LeBlanc on May 10, 1951 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Rita received a BA degree from St. Cloud State University. She was program chair of Music and Drama of American Association of University Women and in charge of spiritual journey ministries. Rita was the liturgist and organist at Holy Spirit Catholic Church for many years. She also played at Country Manor Care Center, Talahi Care Center, and for weddings and funerals. Rita was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and AAUW. She loved music, especially opera and jazz. Rita also enjoyed swimming and skating.
Survivors include her children, Louie (Mary) LeBlanc of Rice, MN; Bruce (Kim) LeBlanc of Sauk Rapids, MN; Steve LeBlanc of St. Cloud, MN; and Janelle LeBlanc of St. Joseph, MN; brother, Tom (Peggy) Palmersheim of Lake Geneva, WI & Fort Myers, FL; sister Lucy Mueller of International Falls, MN; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald on December 6, 1993, and son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Gail LeBlanc.
Rita’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Country Manor and St. Croix Hospice for the loving care and compassion they provided their mom.
