Dennis “Hap” John Glover, age 78, died Monday, November 14, 2022 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
A Memorial Gathering Celebrating Haps’ life will be held from 3:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud. Burial will be Monday, November 21, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the St. Boniface Cemetery, Cold Spring.
Dennis J. Glover was born on March 28, 1944 in St Cloud, MN to Robert and Evelyn (Friedman) Glover. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1964-1968. Hap served on the USS Dahlgren (a guided missile destroyer) as a machinist’s mate during the Vietnam War achieving the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class. He worked as a driver for Metro Bus for many years and enjoyed his work and the people he met on the routes. He also enjoyed trains and semi trucks. Hap loved his family.
Survivors include his daughter, Shannon (Brent) Westerberg of Copperas Cove, TX; sons, Jeremy Glover and Jacob Glover both of St. Cloud; sisters, Terry Glover of GA, Char (Michael) Kruger of Hudson, WI, Rhonda Thomas of Cold Spring; sister-in-law Laura Glover of Alexandria; 6 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death be his parents; daughter, Christina Glover; Brother Kent Glover, and brother-in-law, Brian Thomas.
