A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at Riverside Park, St. Cloud, MN, for Bonita Louise Erie, 80, who passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Bonita was born in East St. Paul, MN to Eleanor Church and Leonard Bohn on July 15, 1941. She married Donald Platz and later divorced. Bonita married Bernard Erie, who remained her best friend through her life. Bonita loved her children, grandchildren and her family. She loved dining out, flowers, gardening, the casino, shopping and her sweets.
She is survived by her life partner, Bernard Erie; children, Russell Platz, Tamara Wood, Lisa Platz, Sheila Nelson, Tony (Tanya) Platz, Georgia (Joe) Depa, Mark (Ann) Platz and Shawn (Mary) Platz; sister, Pat Blume; brother, Leonard Bohn; 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Donald Platz, daughter, Sandra Platz, son, Troy Platz, sister Jackie Bleachinger, brother Robert Bohn, grandsons Troy Platz, Corey Nelson, Kelly Depa and Troy Harrington, and son-in-law Ramon Nelson.
