Her wings were ready, we were not. Elnora Jane Dresow was called by Jesus to come home on June 13, 2022.
A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN. There will be a time of remembrance and stories at 6:00 PM. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sauk Rapids, MN.
Elnora was born December 7, 1938 in Alexandria, MN to Edwin and Edna (Sorenson) Helgeson. She married her beloved husband, George “Pudge” Dresow on November 23, 1957. Elnora was heartbroken when Pudge preceded her in death on August 8, 2003. Despite her broken heart, Elnora went on to meet and fall in love with her partner, John G. Kersting, spending the rest of her life with him.
El will fondly be remembered by her daughters, Dorothy (Gary) McConnell of Summerfield, FL; and Carmen (Doug) Mickelson of Luxemburg, MN; grandsons, Jason Sargent, Kris (Alisha Stearns) Sargent, Jared (Nicole) John and Joshua John; and one brother. She will also be remembered by her loving partner, John G. Kersting of Sartell, MN; John’s children, John (Ann) Kersting of Hugo, MN; Rob (Jayna Reed) of Cushing, MN; Kathy Lawrence of Longmont, CO and Beth (Jaimie) Gruebele. John’s grandchildren, Mitchell (Lillie) Kersting, Mackenzie Kersting, Aaron Lawrence, Beck Lawrence, Caroline Gruebele and Jake Grueble; and John’s great grandchildren, Aubrie, Jaxon, Wesley and Bentley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Dresow, four brothers, one sister, John’s son-in-law, Chris Lawrence and John’s granddaughter, Kelsi Krueger.
