     Jack Roberts Jones, age 83, St. Cloud, MN died Friday, December 2, 2005 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
     Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at 10:30 AM at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Rev. Paul Soderquist will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, December 5, 2005 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery, Morris, MN.
     Jack Jones was born January 15, 1922 in Wichita, KS to Harry and Josephine (Edwards) Jones. He served his country during World War II in the United State Coast Guard. Jack received his BA degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, a Masters degree from Wichita State and his Doctorate from the University of Kansas. He was employed as a junior high school teacher, Director of Campus Laboratory School at St. Cloud State University and was Professor of Education at St. Cloud State University from 1955 until his retirement in 1982.
     On January 24, 1981 Jack was united in marriage to Eva Ellen Cook in Alberta, MN. He was active with the Boy Scouts, serving as chairman of the Eagle Scout Board of Review. Jack also served on the Metro Transit Handicap Services Committee. He attended the First Presbyterian Church. Jack enjoyed woodworking, fishing, traveling, and, cooking. He was a fan of Louis L’Amour western novels, was always a handyman and enjoyed being with his family, grandchildren and friends.
     Survivors include his wife, Eva Cook Jones of St. Cloud, MN; sons and daughters, Patrick (Yvonne) Jones of Garland, TX; Linda (PK) Korte of Elk River, MN; Lisa Jones of Seattle, WA; Jack (Colleen) Jones, Jr. of Doylestown, PA; brother, William Jones of Wichita, KS; six grandchildren, Nicole and Ryan Jones, Chase and Joel Korte, and Mikaela and Jack, III Jones; and many nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
     Memorials are preferred to the Central Minnesota Boy Scouts.
