     Roman H. Blissenbach, age 88, Waite Park, MN died Saturday, November 19, 2005 at Sterling Park Health Care Center, Waite Park, MN.
     Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Church of St. Joseph, Waite Park, MN. Fr. Ralph Zimmerman will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 22, 2005 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Parish prayers will be Tuesday at 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Roman Blissenbach was born October 8, 1917 in St. Cloud, MN to Thomas and Catherine (Muntifering) Blissenbach. He married Lorraine A. Fink on October 26, 1940 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Roman started working for Great Northern Railroad in April of 1937 and then for Burlington Northern Railroad until his retirement on November 1, 1977. He was a member of Church of St. Joseph, NARVE, and Burlington Northern Veterans Association.
     Survivors include wife, Lorraine Blissenbach of Waite Park, MN; sons and daughters, Kenneth Blissenbach and Mary Yaeger of Savage, MN; Robert (Karen) Blissenbach of St. Cloud, MN; Sharon (George) Hadrich of Avon, MN; Linda (Richard) Arnold of East Grand Forks, MN; brother and sisters, Alvin Blissenbach of Santa Maria, CA; Donna Grafft of St. Cloud, MN; Delores Anderson of St. Cloud, MN; Jeanette Warnert of Minneapolis, MN; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Donald and Thomas, infant brother, James and one sister, Lorraine Smith.
     Memorials are preferred to American Cancer Society.
