Martin W. Zdunek, age 80, St. Cloud, MN died Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 10, 2005 at 10:30 AM at Country Manor Chapel, Sartell, MN. Rev. Gary Skramstad and Rev. Harvey Ehlers will Officiate. Visitation be be one hour prior to services at the chapel on Monday. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sauk Rapids, MN. Arrangements are with Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Martin Zdunek was born on October 23, 1924 to William and Anne (Oltz) Zdunek in Sauk Rapids, MN. At the Age of 8 the family moved to a farm near Sauk Rapids. He married Martha A. Kiekow on June 15, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sauk Rapids, MN, the couple made their home near Popple Creek. Martin served on the church board for 20 years, and as Mayhew Lake Township Supervisor for 18 years. In 1977 they moved to St. Cloud. Martin worked for DCI for 15 years retiring in 1990.
Martin is survived by his son, James Zdunek; good friend, Jean Peterson of St. Cloud, MN; 2 grandsons; sister, Johanna Nielsen of Sauk Rapids, MN; and 2 nieces, Darlene Cooley of Seymour, IN, Karen Stockinger of Bowie, MD.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and wife Martha on January 23, 2000.
Pallbearers will be Cory Zdunek, Dylan Zdunek, Dan Gunderson, Chuck Ringler, Frank Stockinger, and Joshua Reith.
