Carol Frick, age 57, St. Cloud, MN died Sunday, October 2, 2005 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 7, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Atonement Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Carol Frick was born on September 3, 1948 in Mora, MN to Edwin A. and Elma I. (Raivo) Pajala. She married Ronald Frick on December 6, 1969 in Crystal, MN. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1970 with a degree in French Literature. Carol got her start in the publishing field working as the editor for an international legal directory. After moving to Rockford, she helped start a newspaper where she became co-editor and also developed her interest in darkroom developing. Then she progressed to start her own desktop publishing and editing business. Her clients say she was Editor extraordinaire and a mentor and teacher to many aspiring writers and professionals. She home schooled their son Andrew from 5th grade through high school graduation. Carol and Ron planned and built their dream home in St. Cloud, moving into it in 2004. Carol enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, cooking, hosting family get-togethers, camping, performing arts, reading, writing, listening to music, photography, computer graphics and book collecting.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Frick of St. Cloud, MN; son, Andrew Frick of St. Cloud, MN; brothers, David (Carol) Pajala of San Diego, CA; Robert (Kathy) Pajala of Woodbury, MN; Mark (Linda) Pajala of Wahpeton, ND.
She was preceded in death by her father on Sept. 22, 1991.
