Clyde “Butch” H. Donaldson, age 67, St. Cloud, MN, died Sunday, September 18, 2005, at his home.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, St. Cloud, MN. Pastor Dan Schneider - Bryan will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 20, 2005 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, at the church
Clyde “Butch” Donaldson was born July 21, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA, to Howard and Sylvia (Scroggins) Donaldson. He was united in marriage to Kathleen L. Mehrenberg, on November 11, 1962 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Evans City, PA. The couple made their home in Naples, FL where Butch worked for Collier County Road and Bridge as a heavy equipment operator. In 1989 the family moved to St. Cloud. Butch worked for WCI until his retirement. Butch also worked for Fingerhut and Spee-Dee Delivery.
Butch was a member of the Optimist Club in Naples, FL, coached little league, and was involved in Boy Scouts for a number of years. He also enjoyed Bingo and SCSU Trivia Weekend.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen of St. Cloud, MN; sons, Howard K. of Waterville, ME; and Dennis (David) of St. Cloud, MN; daughters, Chelsea L Laughlin of Waterville, ME; and Crystal L. (Mark Lintgen) Donaldson of St. Cloud, MN; 6 grandchildren, Tabitha, Heather, Corey, Ericka, Ashley, and Tapainga; and 5 great grandchildren; brother, Ronald W. of Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Maxine D. Parsons of Naples, FL; brothers-in-law, David (Nancy) Mehrenberg of St. Cloud, MN, and Dennis (Crystal) Mehrenberg of Millford, DE; and sister-in-law, Colleen (Joel) Henderson of Cold Spring, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Robert W.
