     Sherry Ann Blair, age 73, Waite Park, MN died Friday, December 14, 2018 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN following a short battle with cancer.
     A memorial gathering celebrating Sherry’s life will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     Sherry was born March 24, 1945 in Dysart, IA to Arthur and Evelyn (Krafka) Emmert. Her family moved to WI when she was young where she attended a one room school house taught by her mother. After high school, Sherry worked a few different jobs, including a job with Otis Redding Recording Studios in Atlanta, GA. before moving to Minnesota where she met her life partner on a blind date. She married Jeffrey L. Blair on August 10, 1968 in Baldwin, WI. She worked as office manager at The Stockinger Company in St. Cloud, which became Blair Marketing in 1980 when Sherry and Jeff purchased the company. She also served as office manager for Stearns-Benton Medical Society for many years. Sherry retired in 2007. Sherry was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, dancing in the Granite Ballroom, gardening, knitting and puzzles. She also loved her pecan pie.
     Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey L. Blair of Waite Park, MN; children, Jenni (SSG Ryan) Pruse of St. Cloud, MN; son, Max (Jackie) Blair of Stillwater, MN; siblings, Dennis (Grace) Emmert of New Richmond, WI; Sue (Ray) Nelson of Woodville, WI; seven grandchildren, CPL Luke (Leah) Nierengarten, Dakota Pruse, Linus Segbe, Sarah Pruse, Tristan Pruse, Elizabeth Blair and Thomas Blair, as well as many family and friends.
     She was preceded in death by her parents.
