Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2005 at 3:30 PM at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service on Monday.
Survivors include sons, Michael (Connie) Fleming of Elk River, MN; Hayden (LaDonna) Fleming of Scottsdale, AZ; Patrick (Paula) Fleming of Clear Lake, MN; and daughter Sharon (Robert) Kennedy of Detroit, MI; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph W. Fleming (Aug 21, 2004).
Roberta "Robie" was born May 16, 1921 to Milton Krueger and Esther (Churchill) Krueger. She attended high school in Cokato, MN, graduating with honors, and degreed from the Minnesota School of Business in 1940. She married Ralph W. Fleming on May 30, 1941 in Sioux Falls, SD. Ralph and Roberta were married for 63 years and raised their family in Cokato, MN. Roberta was a very colorful, optimistic and energetic person with a strong Christian Faith. She was a leader in her community, active in church, PTA and women’s club. She was the ‘Avon Lady’ to many who knew her. She remembered grieving people with a cake or a visit with a baked dish. She opened her home to everyone, needy or otherwise.
Roberta was an avid golfer and still playing when she was 80 years old.
Mostly, Roberta lived for her family. She deeply loved her husband and was determined that her children were raised with a Christian foundation. She held education in high regard and encouraged the arts in her home. She loved to have family parties and made great effort to create memories and traditions. Roberta is now perfect, gone to rejoin her beloved husband for eternity and for that we are exceedingly joyful.
We honor God’s servant, Roberta! |
