Margaret J. Bemelman, age 77, of Rice passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at her home.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church, Rice, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN
JoAnn was born on January 26, 1941 to Clinton and Margaret (Solberg) Grimsley. She married Harvey Bemelman on October 22, 1988 in St. Cloud, MN. JoAnn worked in laundry at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home for over 20 years before retiring.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Zierer Bartowsheski of Rice, MN; brothers and sisters, Karen Morgan of Kirkland, IL, Karol Ogden of Poplar Grove, IL, Kathy (Mike) Nepean of Bagley, MN, Ruby Lenarz, of St. Cloud, MN Art Grimsley and Tim Grimsley of Poplar Grove, IL; three grandchildren, Francis Zierer, Shanna Zierer, and Justin Lutze; eight great grandchildren, Ricky Lynn Zierer Parent, Jesse Michael Zierer, Layla Rose Zierer, Amy Stansbury, Sara Lutze, Justine Lutze, Justin Jr. Lutze and Amanda Ross;
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey; sisters, Cheryl Martine and Mary Wiese and brother, Keith Grimsley.
