Robert “Bob” O’Neil Fuhrman, age 74, Sartell, MN, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM at St. John’s Episcopal Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Bob was born July 6, 1943 in Cass Lake, MN to Jean Fuhrman. He married Diana Hunt on December 12, 1964 at St Peter and St Paul in Kettering, England. Bob served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1982 retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. After his retirement from the military Bob was employed in pest control, hotel management and as owner and manager of Hush Puppy Shoes. Bob had many interests and hobbies, music was his constant. He played in a band and also at local nursing homes. Bob was a volunteer at the St. Cloud Hospital prior to moving Florida. He was a member of The Good Shepherd church in Punta Gorda, FL and a former member of St. John’s Episcopal Church of St. Cloud, MN.
Survivors include his wife, Diana Fuhrman of Sartell, MN; daughters, Samantha (Scott) Schneider of Sartell, MN; Amy (James) Gill of Arvada, CO; brothers and sisters, Donald Hagbloom of Ruth, NV; Richard (Irene) Hagbloom of Reno, NV; Michael Hagbloom of Blackberry, MN; Robin Hagbloom of Portland, OR; Bonnie Hagbloom of Oregon and Connie Hagbloom of Oregon; three grandchildren, Megan (Steve) Krumrie, Cameron Schneider and Olivia Schneider; and one great grandson, Nathan.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Hagbloom, and grandparents, Amy and Albert Fuhrman.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to staffs of St. Cloud Hospital 5th Floor Medical Wing and CentraCare Hospice for the compassionate care they gave Bob in his final days.
