     Ray Harvey Mease, age 89, of Waite Park, MN died Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center, St. Cloud, MN
     Private family services were held and burial will be at a later date in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Indiantown Gap, PA. Arrangements were made with Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     Ray was born on January 15, 1928 at the family home in Jonestown, PA. He served 22 years in the military, first as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy and later as a bomb disposal technician in the U.S. Army. Ray was married to Barbara Pistory on December 31, 1971. After Ray retired from the Army they operated a small farm in MN for Many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming, gardening, and traveling.
     Survivors include his wife, Barbara Mease of Waite Park, MN; children,
    Martha Tripps of Seaside, CA, Marleen (Matt) Jackman of Olympia, WA, Gary (Loretta) Mease of Stockton, CA, Guy (Sherry) Mease of Washougal, WA, Maxine Frasier of Seaside, CA, and Mona (Chase) Urich of Beaverton, OR; Step-children, Jack (Diane) Taylor of Dauphin, PA, Barbara (Jeff) Doll of Deer Creek, MN, Theresa (Tim) Jansky of Waite Park, MN, Edward Taylor of San Bruno, CA; his brothers and sisters, Edward, Allan, Harrison, Tommy, Anna, Gerry, Linda, and Louise; 12 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charlie and Alvin; Sister, Luella; and step-sons, Joseph and James Taylor.
