     Roger Dean Sterriker, age 79, of St. Cloud, MN died Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at his home in St. Cloud, MN.
     Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Church. Burial will be at a later date in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Montevideo, MN. Arrangements were made with Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     Roger was born on May 23, 1938 in Parkers Prairie, MN to Thomas and Lydia (Potratz) Sterriker. He was baptized and confirmed in West Miltona and graduated from Roseville High School before serving in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959. Roger married Audrey Pedlar on September 14, 1969 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Montevideo, MN. He attended both cosmetology and barber school in Minneapolis where he then began his career. Roger later moved to Fergus Falls where he owned a barbershop for several years before moving to St. Cloud in 1977 where he first owned the Hair Den before working at the 3rd Street Hair Company for 9 years. He then owned and operated Roger’s Professional hairstyling for 15 years retiring on October 31, 2016. Roger enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors, painting, reading, watching a good western movie and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the St. Cloud watercolor society and Holy Cross Lutheran Church where he was active in the Pairs and Spares group. Roger will be remembered for his kindness, willingness to help others, sense of humor and ability to tell a good joke and for his love of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his willingness to share that faith with others.
     Roger is survived by his wife, Audrey Sterriker of St. Cloud, MN; son, Brian (Angela) Sterriker of Monticello, MN; 5 grandchildren, Chea Maxwell, Olivia Sterriker, Stanley Sterriker, Sophia Sterriker, Mallory Sterriker; 2 great grandchildren, Avyana Maxwell and Avan Maxwell; brothers, Harvey (Marjorie) Sterriker of Punta Gorda, FL and Arthur (Marilyn) Sterriker of Round Rock, TX.
     He was preceded in death by his parents.
     In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
