     Glenard “Glen” A. Wischmann, age 82, St. Cloud, MN, died Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House, St. Augusta, MN.
     Funeral services will be Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, Sartell, MN. Visitation will be Friday, June 2, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Private interment will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Glen was born May 1, 1935 in Meeker County, MN to Lawrence and Myrtle (Johnson) Wischmann. He graduated from Dassel High School in 1953. Glen served in the Minnesota National Guard from 1954 to 1956. On April 16, 1955 Glen was united in marriage to Karolyn “Kelly” A. Kosek at the Vineyard Methodist Church in Hutchinson, MN. In 1969 he graduated from the Graduate School of Banking, University of Wisconsin. Glen started in banking at Northwestern Bank in Litchfield, MN in 1969 and then moved to Northwestern Bank and Trust in St. Cloud, MN in 1972 as senior vice president. In 1983 Glen became president of the Northwestern Bank in Valley City, ND retiring from there in 1991. After his retirement Glen managed a branch of St. Cloud National Bank until 1995. Glen was a member of First United Methodist Church, Eagles, Elks and Lions, where he received the Melvin Jones Award. He also was active in the El Zagal Shrine for several years. Glen also enjoyed golfing and fishing.
    Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Kelly Wischmann of St. Cloud, MN; daughter, Lynn Lindsay of St. Cloud, MN; son, Steve (Lori) Wischmann of St. Cloud, MN; brothers and sister, Delbert (Jeri) Wischmann of Becker, MN; Merton (Susan) Wischmann of Little Falls, MN; and Sharon (Charles) McCormick of Parker, CO; two grandchildren, Adrienne Lindsay and Mitchell Wischmann; and son-in-law John Lieberg.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Susan W. Lieberg on December 10, 2016, and brother and sister-in-law, Dwayne and Dorothy Wischmann.
     The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Quiet Oaks for the kind and loving care they provided Glen in the final days of his life.
     Memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church or Quiet Oaks Hospice House.
