Patricia I. Christianson, age 58, St. Cloud, died Saturday, May 7, 2005 at her home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Burial will be in Lamberton Cemetery, Lamberton, MN. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 10, 2005 from 4-8 p.m.at the Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Patricia Christianson was born December 11, 1946 in Springfield, MN to Orland “Bob” and Marie (Buyck) Albertson. She married Daniel L. Christianson on June 10, 1967 in Lamberton, MN. She graduated from St. Cloud State College with a Library Science BS and did post graduate work at St. Cloud State College. She was employed by Great River Regional Library for 35 years, serving as a Librarian until 1984, at which time she became Deputy Director until her retirement in 2002. She also served as Acting Director on two occasions. Pat was active in a number of organizations, including the St. Cloud Area Zonta Club (Past President), St. Cloud Reading Room Society (President), St. Cloud Friends of Library (Board Member), St. Cloud Public Library (Board Member), First Call For Help (past volunteer and Board Member) and a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud.
Pat enjoyed reading, traveling, hiking, camping, bird watching, flower gardening and spending time with her granddaughter Abby.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel L. Christianson of St. Cloud; daughter, Kimberly (Paul Slininger) Christianson of Eagan, MN; granddaughter, Abigail “Abby” Marie Slininger; parents, Orland “Bob” and Marie Albertson of Lamberton.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Rogotzke.
