    Doris “Lynn” (Johnson) Chantler, 59
    St. Cloud
    September 23, 1957 - April 11, 2017

Doris “Lynn” (Johnson) Chantler, 59, passed away unexpectedly due to complications of Epilepsy on April 11, 2017.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Lynn’s life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
She was born on September 23, 1957, sharing her birthday with her beloved maternal grandfather, Ralph Busse. Lynn grew up in St. Cloud, graduated in 1975 from Apollo High School and further attended St. Cloud Technical College. She worked many years in Accounts Receivable for Fingerhut.
Lynn’s life changed dramatically at 16 with her first Epileptic Grand Mal Seizure. Throughout her life she valiantly fought to overcome the obstacles Epilepsy presented.
She married Clifford Chantler, in September 1984 in Buffalo, MN and later divorced. Lynn was the proud mom of Jason and Tania and fiercely loved her children and determinedly raised them as a single parent in St. Cloud.
Lynn enjoyed many things in life: nature, family, friends, and most of all, her grandchildren. Lynn delighted in her grandchildren’s lives and hearts. She spent many hours with Aidan, following the death of his mom and was so proud of the young man he was becoming. Lynn could be found mudding or planting flowers, or harvesting vegetables with Konner and Bryce and especially delighted in her newfound passion of horseback riding with Tania.
Lynn is survived by her children, Jason Chantler, St. Cloud, MN and Tania Chantler, Chaska, MN, and three beloved grandsons, Aidan, Konner and Bryce. She is also survived by her mother, Darlene Johnson, Waite Park, MN; siblings Diane (Gordy) Viere, Dallas, TX, David (Bobbie) Johnson, St. Cloud, MN and Dixie Sanborn (Peter Grave), Pequot Lakes, MN. Lynn is also survived by brother-in-law, Steve Miller. She was the beloved aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Johnson, August 18, 1986 and her sister, Darla Miller, January 29, 2001 and the daughter of her heart, mother to Aidan, Laura Peterson on December 31, 2013.

Lynn dedicated her life loving from here to the moon and back
Who else in this world could love us like that?
Forever and always, that’s where she’s at
Loving us from the moon and back.
