    September 25, 1932 – March 18, 2017
    
     Leslie “Dick” Richard Huntley, age 84, Big Lake, MN, died Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
     Funeral services will be Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN.
     Dick was born September 25, 1932 in Moline, IL to George and Marguerite (Hughs) Huntley. He served in the United State Navy from 1951 to 1953. On January 9, 1954 Dick was united in marriage to Shirley L. Nelson in Iowa City, IA. He was employed as a lineman by Anoka Electric Coop from 1958 to 1988. Dick was a member of the American Legion in Anoka, MN. He was a good athlete and loved teasing his grandchildren.
     Survivors include his wife Shirley Huntley of Big Lake, MN; daughters, Beth Quast of Winston Salem, NC; Marti (Allen) Shallbetter of Harlingen, TX; Terri (Dave) Lee of Zimmerman, MN; Jacki Kealy of Champlin, MN; Merri (Jon) Bergerson of Anoka, MN; son, Scott (Beth) Huntley of Green Bay, WI; brother, Dale (Judy) Huntley of Rock Island, IL; sister, Carol (Tom) Thompson of Moline, IL; sisters-in-law, Patricia Huntley of Lenoir City, TN; Teresa Huntley of Rock Island, IL; Jodene Huntley of Aledo, IL; 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Pat, Wayne and Don Huntley, and sister, Lynne Williams.
