    LEILA C. TRAMM, 99
    Sauk Rapids
    August 30, 1917 - December 4, 2016

Leila Tramm, age 99, Sauk Rapids, MN, died Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Good Shepherd Community, Sauk Rapids, MN.
There will be a gathering of friends and family to celebrate the life of Leila Tramm on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN. There will be a service by the Order of Eastern Star at 6:00 PM followed by a service of remembrance led by her niece Rev. Marjory Shields.
Leila was the youngest of three children born to Carl and Libbie (Hansen) Quam. She and her older brother and sister were all born and grew up in St. Paul. Leila graduated from Johnson High School in 1936.
Leila worked in a dress factory after high school where she developed a life long love of sewing. She met her future husband, Carlton Tramm, while visiting relatives in Bertha, MN. They married January 5, 1942 in Alexandria, MN and then Carlton spent the next four years in the South Pacific as a soldier in the U. S. Army. During that time Leila worked in New Brighton at an ammunition factory. After the war, Leila and Carlton lived in Bertha, Sauk Centre, and finally in St. Cloud. She was a member of Granite Chapter #5 Order of Eastern Star for over 60 years and Past Matron. Leila loved the organization and the many friends she made over the years.
Leila was a homemaker, a seamstress and a lover of animals. She always had pets, often more than one at a time, and always had a time for a cup of coffee.
She is survived by her three children: Barbara (James) Billig, Allen (Norma) Tramm and John Tramm. Leila is also survived by seven grandchildren: Philip (Sabrina), Linda, Tim and Dustin Tramm, Amanda (Gary) Young and Erin and Kathryn Billig; and five great grandchildren: Nadja, Amira, LaVant, Genevive and Kai.
