     Lorraine Marie Stein, age 88, St. Cloud, MN, died Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Good Shepherd Community, Sauk Rapids, MN.
     Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Lorraine’s life will be Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Monday, August 8, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Lorraine was born June 8, 1928 in St. Cloud, MN to William and Lena (Libbesmeier) Orth. She married Gilbert H. Stein on November 20, 1948 in St. Cloud, MN. Lorraine lived all of her life in the St. Cloud area. She operated a daycare in her home. Lorraine was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She enjoyed her children, camping, fishing, playing cards, dancing and watching the Minnesota Twins. Lorraine especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
     Survivors include her children, Ronald “Butch” (Cindy) Stein of Cedar, MN; Mark (Duwan) Stein of Clearwater, MN; Kevin (fiancé Karla Sommers) Stein of Sauk Rapids, MN; Keith Stein of St. Cloud, MN; Marilyn (David) Stavrum of Forest Lake, MN; and Anita (Ronald) Gaebel of Shoreview, MN; sister, Rita Lehmeier of St. Cloud, MN; brother-in-law, Albert Stein of Waite Park, MN; sisters-in-law, LaVerne Orth of St. Cloud, MN; Muriel Walters of Kimball, MN; 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gilbert on December 6, 2002, grandson, Matthew Stavrum, three brothers, John Walters, Ernest Orth and Gilbert Orth, and sister, Shirley Davidson.
     The family would like to thank the staff of Good Shepherd Community and St. Croix Hospice for the care and support they provided for Lorraine.
