     Gail C. Stein, age 96, Sauk Rapids, MN died Monday, July 25, 2016 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids, MN.
     Funeral services will be Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Gail was born February 10, 1920 in St. Cloud, MN to Clarence W. and Clara K. (Thole) Fish. She married George H. Stein on May 1, 1943 in Hershey, PA. Gail lived most of her life in the St. Cloud area. She was a homemaker who was a good cook, with cinnamon rolls and pies as her specialty. Gail’s hobbies included crocheting, playing cards, bingo and doing “word find” puzzles.
     Survivors include daughter, Sharon (Art) Carlson of St. Cloud, MN; sons, Jeffrey (Cindy) Stein of Anoka, MN; Brian (Maureen) Stein of Washington, IL; and six grandchildren, Scott (Jessica) Carlson, Adam Carlson, Max Stein, Alex Stein, Rachel (Chris) Hadfield, and Nathan (Velia) Stein; two great grandchildren, Caleb and Bethany Carlson; brothers Donald Fish of Sauk Rapids, MN; Clarence Fish of Waite Park, MN; sisters, Joyce Anderson of Becker, MN; Alice Lucas of Sartell, MN; Muriel Jones of Sauk Rapids, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George H. Stein on December 8, 1970, brother, Bernard “Barney” Fish, sister, Frances Lease and sister-in-law, Mary Fish.
     Memorials are preferred.
     A special thank you to nurses, Irene, Cindy, Mary and Bailey; CNA Heather and the rest of the nursing staff on Sunny Lake at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids, for their excellent care.
