    Michael B. Brum, 64
    St. Cloud, Minnesota
    July 3, 1951 - June 9, 2016

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Michael Bruce Brum, will be Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Friends and relatives may call from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral arrangements were by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Mike passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and his children on Thursday, June 9, 2016.
Mike was born July 3, 1951 to the late James A. and Margaret (Michial) Brum in St. Cloud, MN which is also were he lived his entire life. He attended Cathedral High School and graduated from SCSU in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Diane M. Curto on August 30, 1975.
Mike enjoyed many things in life that included working hard to support his family, going to his children's sporting events, bowling, playing cards with friends and family, fishing, going to the cabin, camping with and without the horses and going to the Minnesota State Fair whenever he could convince Diane to go. In more recent years, Mike enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was a very proud and hands on Papa.
From the exterior Mike had a strong, sometimes gruff personality. Once you got to know him and he trusted you enough to let you in, you got to see and experience his kind, tender and caring heart. He also had a distinctive laugh. Mike will be greatly missed yet never forgotten.
Mike is survived by his wife, Diane Brum, St. Cloud, MN; children, Rebecca (David) Najvar, Iola, TX, Megan (Michael) Ceballos, Morris, MN; Daniel (Erin) Brum, St. Cloud, MN, Deidra (Scott) Swenson, Stillwater, MN; Mitch (Amanda) Brum, Clear Lake, MN. Mike currently has twelve grandchildren, John, James, Clare, Peter and Mary Najvar; Rylan, Riella, and River Ceballos; Lillian and Alex Brum; Adilene Swenson and Maisie Brum. Also survived by sister, Nancy (Jamie) Retzinger, Ankeny, IA; sister-in-law, Barbara Brum, Dallas, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents and brother, James F. Brum,
The family of Mike Brum would like to thank the Coborn Cancer Center staff, Dr. Ufearo, Amanda and all the nurses. Also a thank you to his very special Hospice Angel nurse Molly, and team Dana, Cathy, Nicole and Tracy for all their care, love, and support in helping Mike die with dignity, grace and comfort.
Mike believed in keeping HOPE alive, living “one day at a time”, realizing the significance that every day is an irreplaceable gift to be enjoyed and treasured.
