    JOSEPH W. SCHOBORG, 61
    St. Cloud
    May 28, 1955 - May 31, 2016

Joseph William Schoborg, age 61, St. Cloud, MN died Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Living Waters Lutheran Church, Sauk Rapids, MN followed by a Celebration of Life from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Coyote Moon Grille, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.
Joseph was born May 28, 1955 in St. Cloud, MN to William and Dorothy (Prom) Schoborg. He grew up farming in St. Cloud, graduating from St. Cloud Tech High School and St. Cloud Technical College. He worked as a tool and die maker, ending his career after 37 years with HK Tool & Die in Clear Lake, MN. He married his best friend, Lori, in 1983. The two built a life together first near Sherwood Shores, then in Mayhew Lake, MN for fifteen years, finally moving to his parents’ homestead in southeast St. Cloud. He was a faithful man, communicating most closely with his wife and his Creator. Their belief in working hard and being self-sufficient led Joe and Lori to farm and garden throughout their lives together. Joe liked spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and exploring the North Woods and Boundary Waters Canoe Area. He enjoyed coffee time visits with family and friends, telling stories and making jokes. The traits that defined Joe were his integrity and the careful, respectful way in which he treated people. He worked hard at these things. The traits that came naturally to him were his empathy, his sense of humor, and his quick wit. His was a life well lived.
Survivors include his wife Lori Schoborg of St. Cloud, MN; children Kyle (Mandy) Schoborg of St. Stephen, MN; Beth (Scott) Schoborg Klinkhammer of Otsego, MN; Sara (Chris) Pundsack of Waite Park, MN; one granddaughter, Audrina and two more grandchildren that are on the way; mother, Dorothy Schoborg of St. Cloud, MN; eleven brothers and sisters, Methuria Rashad, Katie (Dale) Waletzko, Julie Schoborg, Susan (Mark) Knowles, Dena (John) Voigt, Louise (Mike) Heim, Pete (Laurel) Schoborg, Matt (Dawna) Schoborg, Simon (Dawn) Schoborg, Teresa (Lester) Johnson and Agnes (Duane) Dobmeier; many nieces and nephews including godchildren, Rob, Eli, Jake, Sam, Jeremy, Justin, Adam, Seth, Karen and Heather.
He was preceded in death by his father and an infant sister.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
