     Alphonse Joseph Kunstleben, age 72, Rockville, MN, died Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, St. Cloud, MN.
     Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 16, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Anna, MN. Fr. Gregory Mastey will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at the church in St. Anna and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Albany American Legion Post #482 prayers will be at 6:30 PM and parish prayers will be at 8:00 PM at the church on Sunday. Burial with full military honors will be in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, St Anna, MN. Funeral arrangements by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     Alphonse was born March 2, 1944 in St. Martin Township, Stearns County, MN to Frank and Alma M. (Van Hoorik) Kunstleben. He farmed all of his life, retiring in 2009. Alphonse was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Albany American Legion Post #482. Survivors include brothers and sisters, Marcus “Mark” (Geraldine) Kunstleben of Avon, MN; Richard Kunstleben of Albany, MN; Lorraine (Arnold) Heinen of Albany, MN; Bernice (Gerald) Hartung of Freeport, MN; Robert Kunstleben of Holdingford, MN; Mary Jane (Nick) Zeimetz of Albany, MN; John (Lois Thielen) Kunstleben of Grey Eagle, MN; and sister-in-law, Bernice Kunstleben of Albany, MN.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Alvin and Ronald, infant sister, Elizabeth, and sister-in-law, Darlene.
