Brunelle Pauline Gilbertson, age 85, of Monticello, and longtime resident of Milaca, Staples, and St. Cloud, died Monday, March 21, 2005 at the Monticello Big Lake Community Nursing Home after a long term illness.
A Memorial service will be held Thursday, March 24, 2005 at 10:30 AM at Salem Lutheran Church, 90 Riverside Dr. SE, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be private. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Brunelle P. Gilbertson was born April 22, 1919 in Milaca, MN to Ludwig and Constance (Christianson) Johnson. She married Donald I. Gilbertson on November 11, 1944 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Milaca, MN. Brunelle was a homemaker who enjoyed her family, volunteer work with the church and hospital, and a lifelong love of gardening and travel.
Survived by son, Jay (Jeanne Samuelson) of Minnetonka, MN; two daughters, Janice of Lino Lakes, MN; and Joan of Alexandria, MN; along with other relatives and good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald, on June 3, 2004; daughter, Judith Ann Gilbertson; four sisters, Clare Stefflre, Ragnhild Ritchey, Helen Benson and Mary Jane Sandquist, two brothers, Harold Johnson and Sherman Johnson.
