Doug M. Zwiener, age 45, St. Cloud, MN died of cancer on Monday, March 21, 2005 in Tijauna, Mexico.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 10:30 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, St. Cloud. Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2005 from 4 to 8 PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 PM Monday at the church. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN .
Doug was born January 10, 1960 in Mankato, MN to Eugene and Arlene (Straumann) Zwiener. He was raised in Waite Park and graduated from Apollo High School in 1978. Doug married Lynn Solorz on May 26, 1990. He was employed by Callan’s Furniture for 18 years. For the past five years he was employed by Southside Lumber in Rogers, MN. Doug loved riding his Harley, camping and collecting model cars.
Doug is survived by his loving wife, Lynn and two beautiful daughters, Mykayla (12) and Lauryn (5) of St. Cloud; brothers, Randy Zwiener of St. Joseph, MN and Tony Zwiener of Florida; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Matt and Mary Ann Gallus of Bowlus, MN; in-laws, Mike and Cathy Solorz of Bowlus, MN; Jeff and Kathy Solorz of Bowlus, MN; Tammy and Troy Bartlett of St. Cloud, MN; Dawn Warner and Bob Kemp of St. Cloud, MN: Mathew Gallus III of Bowlus, MN and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1997, his mother in 2003, and his nephew, Jamie.
Pallbearers will be Steve Solorz, Michael Solorz, Jr., Amy Solorz, Jason Foss, Jeff Solorz, Jr., and Jessica Zwiener. |
